Well in order to capture this HILARIOUS photo, it was necessary that I take on the role of the "Bad Mom" for a few seconds. (and I would totally do it again just so you all know! haha)
The boys were in the tub and I hear Brighton screaming for his dear life, so I run from the living room to see whats going on to find this scene: Brighton high centered on the tub trying to get the toy of his choice while Breckin sits there calm as can be ignoring his nuisance of a brother. I could barely stop laughing, and thought to myself "I HAVE to get a picture of this!" So I ran to get the camera before coming to his rescue. And of course, he survived it.
So judge me all you want. Give me the "Worst Mother of the year" award for all I care. Just get a good laugh at these pictures so I didn't ignore my screaming child in vain!! :)

Brighton's HEADER
Well, we went to a pumpkin patch to pick out our pumpkins and it was freezing! Once we had ours picked out I put Breckin and Brighton in Aunt Kaci's van (which was running) so they could warm up while I payed. Next thing I know Kaci is running in with Brighton in her arms and her head turned away (she couldn't stand to look) saying, "Theres a rock in his head, theres a rock in his head!" True enough. There was indeed a piece of gravel (two actully) embedded in my baby's forhead! He had fallen out of the van head first into the gravel. OUCH!
This involved a trip to the Express Care Clinic where he got one, yes ONE stitch. That may not sound like much, and really it's not, but believe me, to a 16 month old it was plenty traumitizing enough!
So ONE stitch and many screams later :( Brighton is once again a happy little camper.

Grandma's 4wheelerI just love this picture of Brighton pushing Breckin on Grandma's 4wheeler! Usually the 4wheeler is a point of contention because they BOTH want it, so it was a pleasant surprise when they played together happily for a few brief moments.

HalloweenThis is as good as it gets for Halloween pictures this year. This was at Emma's dress up birthday party for which Breckin flat out REFUSED to put on his doggy costume. By this I mean kicking, screaming, throwing fists, so on and so forth--the average 2 1/2 year old tantrum. So yeah. No pictures of Breckin.
So no, we did not celebrate Halloween this year, and to be honest I do feel a little guilty about it, but hopefully they don't remember!! *crosses fingers* I know, I know, BAD MOMMY!! I am by no means Mother of the Year or even somewhat close to that. But I wasn't about to put up a big fight with my 2 1/2 year old to force him to wear a costume that he made VERY clear he didn't want to wear to go out into the chill of the winter and trunk-or-treat for candy I didn't want to have in my house! So there. That is my excuse.
But after all that you have to admit, Bright does make an extremely adorable Zebra!
